Barsa, Hara & Company, LLP was founded in 1987 by Jo Barsa, Partner and Co-Owner with Sandra Hara. Jo recognized immediately a lack of alternatives for emerging businesses looking to reduce overhead in their accounting departments. For that reason, Barsa, Hara & Company began developing innovative outsource accounting services models for emerging businesses. Adding to the suite of services, Sandra brought tax management expertise to the organization, producing an all-encompassing approach to outsourced accounting and tax services. Clients quickly recognized the many advantages, significant cost savings and greater flexibility associated with outsourcing back-office accounting and tax functions, and Barsa, Hara & Co. quickly became an industry leader.

Jo also recognized the importance of the relationship between accounting and information technology. As changing technologies began to take a more significant role in delivering superior outsource accounting services, Barsa expanded our offerings to include technology-based financial accounting, business management and IT systems. This expansion led to the formation of Barsa Technology Solutions, Inc., which now offers a wide array of products coupled with consultative and system integration services that help growing companies manage their critical business systems. Together, these two companies provide affordable alternatives to emerging businesses looking to enhance their accounting and/or information technology infrastructure.
