Information Technology Alliance

The ITA is a not-for-profit membership based association of leading firms engaged in the development, delivery and/or support of technology solutions for small and mid-sized businesses. The purpose of ITA is to share information and build relationships that will improve the way our clients and our member firms do business, and to be an authoritative voice for the IT profession. Barsa is also an integral part of the Consulting Practice Financial Benchmarking Committee for ITA. Information increases in value when it is shared!

American Institute of Certified Public Accountants

Barsa is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a national, professional organization for all Certified Public Accountants. Its mission is to provide members with the resources, information, and leadership that enable them to provide valuable services in the highest professional manner to benefit the public as well as employers and clients.

California Society of Certified Public Accountants

The California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) is one of the nation's largest accounting organizations and the largest CPA association in California. As a member, Barsa is viewed as a leader in professional competency and integrity by clients, employers, the public and government officials. It serves more than 27,000 members in public practice, private industry, education and government.

San Diego Venture Group

Barsa is a long-standing member of the San Diego Venture Group, a non-profit business organization whose mission is to provide an informal atmosphere that fosters ideas on how to form, fund and build new ventures. The organization is comprised of professionals with bright ideas to share and the skills to implement those ideas. With an estimated 425 members and an average monthly meeting attendance of 375 people, the SDVG is helping San Diego become a significant entrepreneurial and venture center.

San Diego RTA

Barsa has been involved with the San Diego RTA as a sponsor as well as a speaker. Its mission is to promote sustainable technology growth in our region by fostering technology development, commercialization and competitiveness.

Institute of Management Accountants

Barsa is a member of the IMA, the leading professional organization devoted exclusively to management accounting and financial management. Its goals are to help members develop both personally and professionally, by means of education, certification, and association with other business professionals. As a respected leader within the global financial community, the IMA influences the concepts and ethical practices in management accounting and financial management. Its ethical standards provide guidance to practitioners for maintaining the highest levels of ethical conduct.

California Chamber of Commerce

Barsa is also a member of the California Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit organization providing easy to-use and affordable compliance products and services while lobbying the state legislature to help California business do business. With over 100 years of experience, we represent more than 14,000 companies of all types and sizes.

Women Business Enterprise

The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is a coalition of corporations, regionally focused women's business organizations and representatives of the Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) community.

E&Y Alumni Network

Jo Barsa, CPA, president and CEO of the Barsa companies, is also the president of this dynamic organization. The primary purpose of the E&Y Alumni Network is to continue to be a valuable resource and business partner to the practicing CPA community.
